FXPrimus Donates to Earthquake Recovery Efforts in Vanuatu

FXP Vanuatu Earthquake

We are proud to be among the Financial Dealers Licensed (FDLs) under the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) who, in an act of solidarity, have collectively contributed a total of 5.9 million vatu to support those affected by the 17 December 2024 earthquake that devastated Port Vila City and Efate island.

The initiative, coordinated by the VFSC, will provide for water tanks, solar kits, school furniture, construction materials, paint and other essential supplies to more than 30 schools and 15 churches across the impacted regions. These supplies will help communities rebuild, ensuring that children can return to safe, functioning learning environments.

We were deeply moved by the Vanuatu people’s resilience and remain committed to standing beside them in times of crisis.

“We believe our responsibility goes beyond business,” said Mr. Costas Georgiades, Chairman of FXPrimus. “Supporting the communities where we are present is a moral imperative. We are honoured to contribute to this cause and humbled by the strength of the spirit of the Vanuatu people.”

The donation effort marks a significant occasion as the first coordinated community relief fund of its kind among VFSC-licensed entities. It reflects how participating firms can genuinely offer tangible support where it is needed the most, without falling short on their regulatory commitments.

At FXPrimus, we believe that meaningful impact begins with empathy; listening before acting, showing up when it matters, and offering aid to our communities when they need it. This donation is about connection, respect and standing by the people of Vanuatu as they rebuild.
